Provide housing to families
with income below 80% of
local area median income.
Rent is approximately 30% of
family income or flat
(maximum).
Currently there are 180
public housing units for
rent in three cities.

Carnesville, Ga. = 28 units
Canon, Ga. = 16 units

The
Housing Authority is
responsible for water,
sewage and garbage service.
The resident (tenant) pays
for their gas and electric
service.
We have a superior
Maintenance Department and
facility.
There is a full time
Maintenance Manager and
Maintenance Mechanic.
We provide a 24 hour pager
service for maintenance
emergencies.
Our maintenance schedule is
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday
through Friday.
Our office messaging system
service is available 24
hours.
Grass and lawn services are
provided by LHA. Residents
do not cut grass.
All painting services are
provided by LHA. Residents
are not authorized to paint,
wall paper, or alter the
interior of the units.
All tree and shrubbery
trimming is provided by LHA.
All professional contractors
must be insured, licensed
and bonded when required.
