Board of Commissioners
Meeting Schedule

The Lavonia Housing Authority Board of Commissioners (BOC) meets on the second (2^nd) Thursday of every month beginning at 5:30 PM. The BOC meetings are held at the Starr Whitlow Office Building, 13032 Jones St. in Lavonia.

The Lavonia Housing Authority reserves the right to schedule Special Board Meetings at other times provided that legal notice is given in accordance with O.C.G.A. 50-14-1.The Board of Commissioners meetings are open to the public and subject to the Open Meetings Law (O.C.G.A. 50-14) and Open Records Law (O.C.G.A. 50-18).

Resident Advisory Board
Meeting Schedule

The Lavonia Housing Authority Resident Advisory Board (RAB) meets on the third (3^rd) Thursday of each month beginning at 4:00 PM. The RAB meetings are held at the Starr Whitlow Office Building, 13032 Jones St. in Lavonia. The Resident Advisory Board meetings are open to any resident of legal age and a lease holder or a member of a lease holder’s household within the Lavonia Housing Authority’s jurisdiction.

The purpose of the RAB is to advise the Housing Authority management on issues of importance to the
residents. LHA Management will ensure that changes in the Housing Authority’s policies and procedures, the 5-year and annual plans and other matters of importance to the residents will be discussed with the RAB and their recommendations will be considered before final action is taken.
