When there is a job opening, the Housing Authority will follow its Personnel Policy for hiring personnel. When a position is required or necessary to post publicly, the job opening will be placed on this page of the web site as well as the local newspaper stating the position, dates, times and place where applications and/or resumes will be accepted. Contract Work Out for Bid The Lavonia Housing Authority periodically contracts for work such as landscape, grounds, painting, cleaning, etc. These contracts may involve repetitive work and are usually multiple year contracts. The Housing Authority also periodically contracts for more extensive physical improvements, remodeling, concrete repair and replacement, shingle replacement, flooring, etc. These contracts could be small or large in nature and may involve contractors and sub-contractors of various professions.
